I have owned my Glenn Pray 866 Speedster since 2000. I Drive the Auburn at every opportunity. As you well know, these cars draw continuous attention any where they go. I drive the car each year to Auburn, Indiana to participate in the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Clubs National Meet. In 2005 I made it to Glenn's Open House at the Factory with my Auburn. Glenn and Doug Pray went out of there way to show everyone a good time. Great Guys! - Great Cars!

Here in Norway - all over at the other side of the world - we are two guys with Glenn Pray Auburn Speedsters. There is also half a dozen speedster replicas, two Samco's and a few original Cord 810 and 812 and one Auburn 851 Phaeton.

The car is the 1st production car and has serial number A-866-101. It was sold
to General E.C.R Lasher in April, 1968

I also have a letter from Glenn Prey describing the provenance of the car.

Owned by Bill Stella
My wife and I live in Portland, Oregon and are the owners of Auburn Speedster A866 108 and have owned the car for over eleven years. It has a 1969 429 with a 4 speed manual transmission and is driven regularly. We restored it when we got it and it has been all over the place from Lake Tahoe to Banff Canada and every where in between, it is a pleasure to drive and we try to keep the top down as much as possible (it is tan Hartz Cloth) as with the top up visibility is shall we say, a bit limited (as you probably well know).
Owned by Robert Douglas, Portland, OR
We have taken care of #182 since 2004. We drive it a lot especially on Motorioway 500. It appears at a lot of shows and definitely get's attention. It is still in it's original unrestored condition and has turned 14.2 seconds in the quarter mile. This car's application to AACA resulted in recognition of all 866's in the new Second Generation Vehicle Class.
Owned by John & Jan Brewer, Davenport, Iowa.

I hope you can help me...I just inherited this 1937 rebuilt Auburn that I know Glenn Pray built in 1970. I know it was brought to Buffalo NY, Clark Bono owned then Rickard C. Bainbirdge Jr. and now I own it. I am going to have it completely restored and will send you new pictures when it is all finely tuned up. Owned by Judi Bainbridge

We are from Germany. My dad is Klaus Sondermeier and he bought an Auburn and now we would like to know something about our car.
The serial number is A866SPJLH.
Do you know when it was built?
I hope you can tell me something about it.

Note: we are researching this car and will post updates as they become available.
Was our #194 subconsciously on my ‘bucket list’, or was I motivated to own one
after attending the 50th reunion in Oklahoma? We feel our 2010 fall acquisition of a well-cared for and fully original 1980 model was meant to be. Sometime ask me about my first sighting of an Auburn speedster at age of 14, and my first Glenn Pray sighting at auction in 1981. Owned by Bob and Nancy Kelley

While I was at the show I fell in love with the Auburns that were there and started searching for one that I could afford. I am now in the process of rebuilding, ground up, with ALOT of help from my friends, a replica (non Glenn Pray) Auburn Speedster.

The Auburn Dual Cowl Phaeton is Number 1 car of 16 Production car built. Glenn built the Prototype, took it the Auburn and sold 6 cars from it. They brought the car back to Broken Arrow, pulled it apart and made the molds to build the production cars. The Prototype body is still laying out in the field back behind the factory. This was Glenn's personal car until 1977, when he sold the car to pay for a new home. I bought it in 2007. The car is all original, the only thing that has been replaced are the tires. The car has 7,000 miles on it.
Owned by Felix DeGeyter, Broken Arrow, OK
This is also Dual-Cowl #1. According to Felix DeGeyter there are three (3) known Dual-Cowl #1's. You can figure out which is the "real" #1.
This is Dual-Cowl #14. This was Glenn Pray's personal car. This was the last Dual-Cowl Phaeton ever produced. It is owned and mainained by the Pray family of Broken Arrow, OK

This is Glenn Pray's hand-built Deusenburg V12 Phaeton. It is recognized as the only V12 ever produced by Deusenburg. (It is a genuine "Deuzy" since Glenn owned the company that bears it's name.) The picture does no justice to this beautiful piece of rolling sculpture. You must see it in person to truly appreciate it. If you are ever near Tulsa make it a point to visit the Pickle Factory to see this incredible machine.
